PHANTASMAGORIC

PHANTASMAGORIC is a flow of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that can force their way into your body, voluntarily or involuntarily. Space, objects, music and movement intermingle in a diverse and colourful universe. Reflections and illusions, memories, obstructions and desires unravel. You are drawn into spontaneous as well as fabricated streams of thought. Outbursts form a series of different moods and conditions which disappear as quickly as they arise. 

The piece is an hypnotic universe that holds wondrous surreal explorations, pop cultural performative stunts as well as odysseys into the dark, frail and unknown. PHANTASMAGORIC takes you into a space which hangs in the balance between what we are, what we could have been, and what we can become.

PHANTASMAGORIC premiered at Dansens Hus (Oslo) on February 4 2016. It was later performed at Oktoberdans in Bergen (2018),TOU Scene and Stavanger Dance Biennale (2018), MDT Stockholm (2018), Side Step Festival at Zodiak, Helsinki (2020), and was programmed for Fest en Fest in London (2020).
