Nikulpmyrene
by Berstad / Helgebostad / Wigdel / Lie
Nikulpmyrene dives into and celebrates the bodies we all move around in. Our bodies consist of a fantastic combinations of flesh, blood, chemical connections, electrical impulses and fumbling trains of thought. Our bodies, with everything they contain, are constantly reaching out to other presences and bodies, rocks, sticks. The artists Ida Wigdel, Lisa Lie, Kristin Ryg Helgebostad and Ingeleiv Berstad explore the landscape between workshop, performance, dance and theatre.
Nikulpmyrene usually lasts between one to two hours. The total duration of the piece varies, it continues for as long as you want, but most likely around two hours.
Nikulpmyrene 2.0 was remade for an outdoors campsite on Mount Fløien in Bergen, and was presented by BIT Teatergarasjen in May 2021. The original performance premiered in November 2019 at Black Box teater, Oslo. For more info on the original version look here.
